We are an alliance of Afghans, global citizens, international institutions and non-governmental organizations that support the Afghan people’s aspirations for the restoration of democracy. We are committed to the principle that all women and men deserve the right to choose their political future in an inclusive, consultative and peaceful manner.

GARD Afghanistan is administered by an interim steering committee of Afghans and global citizens from inside and outside Afghanistan.

The interim steering committee will lay the groundwork for GARD Afghanistan’s long-term future, including the formation of a standing steering committee through a transparent mechanism.
